Manage Time, Play with Time!

Manage Time, Play with Time!

Have you ever felt that time was slipping through your fingers, especially when it comes to organizing it for your children?

You're not alone! Today we're going to tackle a subject that we hope will lighten the whole family's daily routine: teaching our kids to manage their time.

The Perception of Time: A parallel universe?

Our children and we sometimes seem to live in separate time dimensions. And that's perfectly normal!

Children's perception of time differs significantly from that of adults. That's why it's crucial to help them learn how to manage time, both at school and in everyday life.

Time balance: an essential issue

Talking about time balance with your children can help them think about how to divide their time between different activities: school, homework, leisure, rest, family time...

Invite them to ask themselves some guiding questions:

    • What can I do with my time?
    • What do I want to do with my time today?
    • What would I like to accomplish today?

Self-evaluation: a powerful tool

Invite them to self-assess their time management:

    • Do I feel like I can't do everything?
    • Am I often at a loss as to how to organize my activities?
    • Do I tend to do everything at the last minute?

These questions can open up a constructive dialogue and lead to better time management, to the benefit of both you and your employees.

The benefits of time management

Knowing how to manage your time has nothing but advantages, both physical and psychological: less stress, better organization... A real plus for your children's well-being!

Our tips for better time management

    • Clear expectations: Be precise about the time allotted for each task. If the room needs to be tidied up before dinner, specify the time available.
    • Using a timer: Timers help you keep track of time. For example, to limit the time spent on video games.
    • A task schedule: Create a daily schedule with them, including tasks and hobbies. Stickers for each task completed can be very motivating. Don't forget to include breaks!

We hope these tips will help your children get a better grasp of time. Do you have any tips to share?
